To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I have been outspoken about the recent Deer Run street project. While it is my right to speak my mind on issues of importance, I would also like to say a few words about our city councilmembers and mayor. They are doing the best job they can with what they have to work with. They are paid very little for their time and service to our city. While I may not always agree with their decisions, they are doing what they feel is in the best interest of our community. I applaud them for their service and thank them for all they do for all of us in this great community. Steve Leighton Longtime Victoria Resident
To the Editor: Madame Publisher, I miss the monthly, for me my obliged English lesson, called the Victoria Gazette. What happened? Did you have a failure? Is someone of your staff sick? Your IT technician? Or worse, is there a breakdown with your printer? Madame, although I have work in my garden, at the evening, I have nothing to think about looking up in my dictionaries of English, and, besides, our TV programs are tedious or have been broadcast before. In short, I am unemployed. Please, will you resolve the problem, Madame. Your loyal digital reader, Theofiel Keymis Dilsen, Belgium
EDITOR'S NOTE: Hi Theofiel. You're funny. There were five weeks between Gazettes last month, rather than the usual four. Sorry you had to suffer☺.
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I was searching some things on the book Fever Saga by Robert Lloyd Lee and came across your story in the Victoria Gazette. I actually live in Waconia and am an Opdahl. My dad was Jeff Opdahl (Lyle and Macky, Litchville, ND), and I grew up outside Norwood Young America. You seem like a person who would have some information on the Opdahl farm in Norway so I decided to email you to see if you do. Thanks. Katie Braun Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: You put the fishhook on page 24 of the July issue, in the poor piggy's fanny as if he didn't have enough problems. My husband said something about it. I said, "You're not making any sense." He said, "I'm practicing to be a politician." Kathy Girtz Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you so much for all the wonderful coverage and your work in regard to my quilt art. We have been wanting to get around to this, subscribing to the Victoria Gazette, but have been all too busy. Best wishes. Check enclosed. Arden Harrison-Bushnell Shorewood, Minnesota
To the Editor: Greetings, Sue. I have recently opened my Mental Health Counseling practice in Victoria. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. I work with ages 3 to 103. I would like more information on placing an ad and/or small article in the Victoria Gazette. I would love to do something for the September issue that would focus on introducing myself and a quick blast about mental health for children during school time. Please let me know the process to accomplish this. Thank you. Renee E. Carlson Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hello, Susan. I'm sorry to bother you, but for some unknown reason I have still to receive my July issue of the Gazette. I have always received and enjoyed your paper all these many years. Thank you so much for checking into this. I have now moved across from Half Moon Bay to the other side of San Francisco. Thank you. Aunt Clarone Opdahl Corta Madera, California
