It was long ago that I found that picture of a hog roasting over the fire and I have no idea from whence it comes, most likely a cut and paste catalogue, but when I saw it, I knew it was for me. I continue to use it to advertise the online Gazette and the caption that comes with it says: "The Victoria Gazette fans the flames of truth, in season and out." And I used it last month, as you can see, to hide the fishhook in its hind chop. When I dipped into the minnow bucket of entries, I pulled out Grayson Latzig of New Germany to win the $10. Congratulations, Grayson. The check will be in the mail shortly. There's another fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette. In the meantime, stay with the truth of things no matter the season, and if you don't have it, look for it. You might find it in the tastiest chop ever. |
