Victoria Moments Continued

Locally Owned and Operated.  There’s a new SUBWAY sandwich shop in town and it’s located in the Hi-5 Market building.  Owner Deep Baveja purchased the SUBWAY franchise and remodeled the inside of his convenience store at the Marathon gas station site next to his Hi-5 Liquors.  The makeover is extreme and extremely well done.  The inside space seems much larger as it now provides for two areas of seating, yet plenty of convenience store aisles and items, including the refrigerated section, and lots of space to visit on a cold winter day.  Deep said the breakfast menu, including delicious Seattle’s Best Coffee, is available with the rest of the familiar and famous SUBWAY menu all day, every day.  The place is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The remodel construction of the interior began in July and the SUB menu became available on November 19th.  Good job, Deep.  Thank you for continuing to invest in the Victoria community.  ~S.O.

Spreading Thanksgiving.  Our family expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in saving my husband’s life after suffering a major heart attack on October 19th and for all the support given to us during a very distressing time.

Many many thanks to our good friend and neighbor Nicole Wongdock, who responded to my husband’s call immediately and called 911.  Timing was critical.

Thanks to the emergency team:  Steve Dahl, Bruce Osborne, Rick Leuthner, Gary Sohns, the Carver County Sheriff’s Department, and the paramedics who came to my door.  You and many other folks like you volunteer your time to become highly trained technicians who serve our emergency needs.  I would urge everyone to support their volunteer fire department and rescue personnel, with both respect and contributions.  Their competence and generosity are astounding.

Thanks to Dr. Drill-Mellum and her staff at Ridge-view Medical Center in Waconia for the excellent care my husband received during his emergency visit.  The quick response and care they gave him before transporting him to Abbott Northwestern saved his life.

The excellent care continued with the team that transported my husband to Abbott Northwestern and the attention he received there.  I just can’t say enough about the kindness, compassion, and care my husband and our family received at Ridgeview and Abbot Northwestern.  Outstanding.

And to our friends and neighbors on 77th Street in Victoria who supported us during this difficult time, thank you.  Our love to everyone involved for showing us that this community is greater than I could ever have previously imagined.  God bless.
