To the Editor: At the risk of having my email appear among your letters to the editor, I’ll report that I found the fishhook in the ad for the multi-church Thanksgiving Service, page 19, among the leaves on the left side. I’m doing fine in my new assignment at St. Mathias in Hampton, St. Mary’s in New Trier, and St. John the Baptist in Vermillion. Beautiful churches, good people, and great church dinners. Fr. Stan Mader Hampton, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you for the great story and articles on my family in the November issue of the Victoria Gazette. I was wondering where I can buy a few copies of that edition. Virginia Stowe is my great aunt, as Robert Hedtke was my grandpa. We would really like to find a few issues of the paper to have for our family. Please let me know. I live in Waconia and would be happy to stop somewhere on my way home. Thank you. Kelly Hedtke Brockpahler Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you, Sue, for the wonderful pictures you printed on the Lions Halloween Magic Show and Party. At the last Lions meeting, I did thank you for all the great publicity that you provide the Lions through out the year. You make us look good. Of course, we are !!! I started another business, Allergy Care Center of Minnesota. I would like to do some marketing early next year. Dr. Tim Sebenaler Sebenaler Chiropractic Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Greetings from St. Cloud. I am so excited. I just spotted the fishhook on page 19 in the multi-church Thanksgiving Service ad. Jim and I enjoy catching up on all the Victoria news via the Gazette. You do a great job. Have a great Thanksgiving. Sue Olson St. Cloud, Minnesota
To the Editor: We have lived here on the same farm for many years and now our address has again been changed for the fourth time, although we have not moved! Our street address has been changed from Victoria Drive to Pioneer Trail. Thank you so much for sending us the Gazette. It is greatly appreciated. The Gazette is a great paper and we like to enjoy it here and also in Arizona. You do such a great job with the paper. Thanks again. Clarence and Dorothy Kelzer Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: I was just being nosey this Sunday and for whatever reason found your paper online about Victoria, Minnesota. You’ve got a great website and an accumulation of interesting tidbits from in and around your community. I especially liked your latest feature, “The Hat Lady,” a story of one remarkable life. She is modest by design; more of the story is about her parents. I sense a twinge of regret when she recounts how the family’s 40 acres came to be parceled out (It’ll never be the same). Your approach with the Gazette is about the body-politic without a strain of politics. Even your politician’s pictures (Paul Kohls and Julianne Ortman) don’t describe which party they belong to! My eye caught the names Floyd’s and Hardy’s because my dad was a Floyd and my brother is a Floyd and because Hardy is a somewhat prominent name here in this part of Ohio. There are many Hardy’s. Being me, should I one day visit Victoria, Minnesota (my brother and his wife moved to the Twin Cities in 1978 and now reside in Edina), I plan on stopping for lunch at Floyd’s. And I see from your “Headlines and Bylines” page that the Victoria Gazette is probably a real newspaper besides having an online edition, so when I get there I’ll be certain to pick me up a real copy of the Gazette. Thanks. Joe Grabriel Alliance, Ohio
