To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I have a quick tidbit to share about our great Fresh Seasons Market in Victoria. I did some shopping there over the weekend and spent $200. Later that day I had the time so I took my receipt from Fresh Seasons and drove over to Chaska Rainbow to compare prices. I was pleased to see only $7 difference with the favor being on Rainbow’s side. I think Victoria’s lovely store, excellent customer service, great deli, and the convenience of having Fresh Seasons right in our own back yard is worth a lot more than $7!! This Thanksgiving I am thankful for Fresh Seasons. Jan Lee Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I just want to first say to you how sorry I am for the loss of your dear friend Germaine. She truly has brought such joy into our world, and I am sure the two of you had a blast each time you were together. I will never forget the giggles you and Father Elstan and Germaine had after an evening of choir rehearsal. Great memories for sure. I also want to pass on my thoughts of how blessed we are in Victoria to have the Fresh Seasons Market here. First of all, each time you walk into the Market you are greeted warmly by many on staff who are also open to assisting right there on the spot and for that I am grateful. This type of hospitality is rare to come by. The store is impeccably clean and well organized, which is refreshing and I thank each person there who makes that all happen. As a staff member of St. Victoria and event planner, I am involved in planning events that would include some type of food and beverage item. Fresh Seasons has assisted us beyond the call of duty -- from donating all of the food for our Sunset Fest to making sure we have peanut butter, rice, and tuna for our food drives at a lower cost and also convenient to those coming in for those items. They are ready to serve out of the goodness of their hearts. Fresh Seasons is also assisting our local food shelves with day old bakery goods and turkeys for special occasions to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chaska feeding those who are needy. So you see they are an outreach ministry and are teaching each of us the beauty in giving. I hope and pray that we do everything we can to support this wonderful store and their staff. Thanks again, Fresh Seasons! Many blessings to all. Patty Schlader St. Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I think we need to get the word out. Fresh Seasons is a wonderful addition to our community. In their short time in Victoria, Fresh Seasons has donated and supported this community more than any other business. I attended the annual fundraiser at Holy Family Catholic High School last week, and Dale Riley and his wife Janet not only attended the event, Fresh Seasons donated a gift of $1,000. Let’s support this business as much as they support us. Thank you. Kathryn Paradise Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I can’t say enough about what a great neighbor Fresh Seasons Market has been. They reach out to the entire community in so many different ways. This past summer, for our parish’s Sunset Fest, Fresh Seasons donated all of the food which, in turn, opened the door for us to donate some of our ticket proceeds to the Bountiful Basket Food Shelf in Chaska. Throughout the year we hold various drives for the food shelf, and Fresh Seasons is right there to offer companion 2-for-1 specials on peanut butter and tuna so that our parishioners can double their gift to the drive. Fresh Seasons is also ideally situated to support us with our funeral luncheons offering a wonderful convenience and working relationship for our volunteers. Their creative ideas continue, even with something as simple as donuts. Once a month Fresh Seasons welcomes St. Victoria parishioners into their store with complimentary donuts. The list could go on. Whatever the cause may be, Fresh Seasons is there. They have reminded me how the commercial-business-school-civic-faith sectors of our community are all united as one family. At this Thanksgiving time, I want to thank Fresh Seasons and all of the local businesses who have been such good neighbors to us. Blessings and peace. Father Bob White St. Victoria Catholic Church Victoria, Minnesota
