I wanted to extend my appreciation for all the support during my campaign for the Victoria City Council. For those that made a contribution, for those that I sought counsel from, and for those that allowed me to plant a sign in your front yard, thank you. While I wasn't successful securing a seat on the Council, I enjoyed the journey. It was a great learning experience in the political process. Thanks again for your support.

The family of Sharon Hazelwood would like to thank everyone who lovingly supported us by attending her visitation and funeral and who contributed memorials. We are going to make donations in Sharon's memory to the Scleroderma Foundation, to Faith Lutheran Church, to the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice, to local food shelves, and other charities.

In the November 2012 issue of the Gazette, you have pictures from the Carver County Senior Expo in Waconia. I am wondering if it is possible to get a hard copy of one picture in particular. On page 14, second row, is an excellent picture of my grandparents, Marvin and Lillian Reich, one of the best photos that my family has seen. My grandpa just passed away and we were hoping to get a copy of the picture for my grandma as well as close family. Please let me know if this is possible. We look forward to using the picture on a display in his memory. Thanks.

The 2012 construction season is finally winding down, and we've had several projects this year with significant traffic impacts. One way we communicate these traffic impacts is through email updates, and you're currently signed up to receive updates for one or more of our major projects. And we want your feedback.

What do you think about the project email updates you've received so far? How can we continue to effectively communicate traffic impacts, detours, etc., through our email updates and through our project websites, Facebook, and Twitter?

I went a couple times to pickleball there at the Victoria Recreation Center. They have it on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and I am having a blast. Did not know anybody, though, as all have moved into Victoria since we moved away from Victoria in 1986. I am just making new friends now. Have a good day.
