To the Editor:

Hello, Sue.  Thank you for the amazing article on the Heaven Can Wait event.  Just don't know how you can capture all the details and write in such an informative and interesting manner, but that's why you're the editor.  You were so kind to come and cover the story.  So appropriate for November and Veterans' Day.

         Nan Emmer, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I saw your article in the November issue of the Gazette, that you made me aware of earlier this summer.  I have continued to speak with people about this [Victoria zip codes for property being annexed to Victoria] and I agree it is critical to maintain the Victoria name and identity in our expansion.  Thank you for doing the initial diligence on this issue.  It will become part of my conversation on southerly expansion of Victoria when I'm on the Victoria City Council.

         Paul Hepperla, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Thank you for running the Crown of Glory article in the November issues of the Gazette.  I've been hearing a lot of positive comments.  When is the due date for the December paper?

         Mary Leopold. Chaska, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Greetings, Sue.  As an election judge for many years, it has always been a source of joy to observe young children accompanying their parents and "going voting."  This year, mid afternoon on election day, I observed a young lad, eight or nine years old, accompanying his father.  The little guy had a serious frown, was obviously disgruntled, not a happy chappy.  I said to him, "Hey, buddy.  The election results aren't in yet."  His father responded, "He's really upset.  He thought I said we were going boating."

         Stan Hamerski, Chaska, Minnesota

To the Editor:

The fishhook is on page 14 in the November Gazette, around the "dining" sign.  Hope you are doing well and recovering nicely from your horrible mishap in Ireland.

         Linda Erickson, Chaska, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Thank you so much for your wonderful coverage of the "Heaven Can Wit" reunion last month.  You really captured the emotion and gratitude of all who attended in thanking Project Recover and honoring our World War II heroes.  We are blessed to have you and your wonderful paper in our community.  Merry Christmas.l

         Jim Emmer, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Thank you, Victoria!  I am excited and humbled that you, the citizens of Victoria, have chosen me to represent you for the next four years on City Council.  I am still overwhelmed and extremely grateful to so many of you who stepped up and helped me win your vote.  I couldn't have done it without you and will do my very best to make you proud.

I am also excited that Deb McMillan won as well.  Deb has so much to give to Victoria.  I look forward to working with her, the mayor, and other councilmembers, city staff, and members of the community.  We are ready to move us forward for all of Victoria.

To Sharon Eklund and Paul Hepperla, you may not have won the vote, but you are winners in my eyes.  We all showed Victoria, and anyone else watching, how a campaign can be run with integrity and respect.  I would be honored to work with both of you.  Thank you for loving Victoria as much as I do.

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday and looking forward to getting to work for you in January!

         Judy Black, Councilmember-Elect, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  Love the Gazette and your talent.  I read it front to back, then from front to back again to look for the fishhook.  Found it on page 14 in the November issue in the Waconia DEAR ad.

The end of November will be eight years since I moved from Victoria, after 62 years, to little Hamburg where I have two  granddaughters and families, Dan, youngest son, his daughter, my granddaughter.  Now, at age 91 and a half, I am slowing down with aches and pains.

         Lorraine Braunworth, Hamburg, Minnesota
