To the Editor: #$@&%*! I read in the Gazette that you quit the choir and piano at church. Now that I got the swearing out of my system, I want to thank you for the countless hours and truly blessed gift you have given us all over the years. I was coming home on leave and picking up a few shifts at the Norseman Restaurant on Hwy 7 when you first started playing at St. Victoria. That's a long time ago. You are an amazing lady and testimony that God's grace comes in a wide variety of forms. May you enjoy this new phase of your parish life. I am at a loss to adequately sum up my appreciation for your effort and contribution to the numerous celebrations of the Sacred Mystery that you participated in. Thanks again and may God continue to bless you, Allan, and your family for many years to come. See you in the pew. Warmest regards. Tim Amundsen Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I hope your St. Victoria parish will send a recommendation for you to Pope Francis, dear Sue! Well done, thou good and faithful servant seems so little to say, feeling exhausted reading what you did for your church's music program. Bravo and congratulations on your decision to stop your work and play the piano! I'll pray for amazing grace for you to continue in your rich life. Blessings. Lydia Holsten Victoria, Minnesota
o the Editor: I know the Victoria church will miss your contributions. The January publication of the Gazette was excellent and so informative. I am very glad you will continue the Victoria Gazette. How fortunate we are to have a woman like you so dedicated to family, husband, church, and our community. Mal and Lois MacAlpine Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I was touched and enlightened by your "retirement" article in the January issue of the Gazette. Your dedication to St. Victoria's music ministry greatly enhanced my worship experience for more than 20 years. To say you will be missed is an understatement. You have been an Amazing Grace to me. Enjoy your well deserved freedom. Mary and Jim Foster Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: After announcing, in the January 2016 issue of the Gazette, your retirement from 34 years of continuous service for the choir as pianist and organist at St. Victoria, permit us to enthusiastically join others in offering the good words of acknowledgement and appreciation that you so readily deserve. Thirty-four years is an impressive record. More important, you should be proud of it as of the accomplishments it symbolizes. The January paper also included a touching article, "Grandpa's Hands," that prompts us to comment on your hands. Sue, your "canvas" seems to be the keyboard: typewriter, word processor, computer, piano, organ keyboards -- hand tools of your communication and artistic creativity. Thank you, Sue for your years of selfless services and contributions to this community. Your talents and services are greatly valued and respected. Stan and Jayne Hamerski Victoria, Minnesota
