To the Editor: Thanks, Sue, for all your hard work covering "The Scoop at Victoria City Hall." I know it has not been an easy task! We were out of town and missed the December city council meeting, bad planning on our part. We would like to thank outgoing Councilmembers Jim Crowley and Tom Strigel for their outstanding service to our city and community. They have endured much and have always done their best for our city. They deserve a hug of thanks for their service. We hope the New Year will bring about a civil council that will do the right things for our city. Welcome to the new councilmembers and good luck with your service. All the best. Steve and Donna Leighton Longtime Victoria residents
To the Editor: I enjoyed your January article, "Double, Double Toil and Trouble." As a nonresident but someone who works in Victoria, it's good for me to get the full background summary of all the rigmarole behind the scenes. Thank you for that. Christie Wood Howard Lake, Minnesota
To the Editor: In the January paper, the fishhook is on page 8, in the ad for Clearwater Clothing, down by her shoe. I've been sharing my Gazette with my granddaughter Colleen and my daughter Irene. We are so into your paper. They also enjoy looking for the fishhook. I look for it first, then after I find it, the race is on. They try to find it before the other one does. We are addicted to your paper. It's like Wheel of Fortune. Keep up the great work. Irene Schleicher Shakopee, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hey, Sue. I just finished reading your piece about surviving your trip to Ireland. I held onto that issue to read when I had time. Thank you for sharing all those nitty gritty details. Wow! I have been to Ireland and Scotland as a driver and a pedestrian, and I just took a defensive driving class. It's amazing more people don't die every day from careless impaired driving. Glad you are still with us. Kellie Sites Destination Waconia Chamber Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thank you for the great pictures of Caroling with the Choir at Enki in your January paper! What a great time that was. When's your next Gazette dropping? We are planning an Open House of our new events center and wanted to place an announcement ad. The Open House is Wednesday, February 6th. When would you need our ad? John Hayes Enki Brewing Company Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thank you for running the pro-life ad in your January paper. We want to thank you and all your readers who helped make our breakfast a success. There were seven churches sharing work time together! Dan Steinhagen and Dennis Rolf Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Happy New Year. "I wonder as I wander out into the night" is on page 8 in the Clearwater Clothing ad. Guess the gal is wondering what is on her shoe. Hope all is well with you and your family. Here's to 2019! Take care and keep writing. Dianne Prieditis Chanhassen, Minnesota
