To the Editor: Hi, Sue. We love the Gazette and look forward each month to reading it from the first page to the last. We look forward to getting the Gazette and reading about the happenings at home. Thank you for all your time and work to make the Gazette such a wonderful read. Pete and Anne Hackert Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hard to believe it's almost 2015. My, how time flies. Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer you get to the end, the faster it rolls on by. Paul Huber Excelsior, Minnesota
To the Editor: Once again we find ourselves in the holiday season, that special time of the year when we join with family and friends in sharing the traditions of the season. When you are planning your holiday shopping tradition this season, please don't forget those who are less fortunate. As the year ends, it brings no greater pleasure than the opportunity to express our gratitude to you for your continued support. Let's all aggressively move forward to a more prosperous New Year. Randy Miller, President Victoria Business Association Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Enjoy your Crossword Puzzle every month by Steve and Professor Jo-Anne Young, M.D. Great job. Keep it up. Gordon Van Burik Cleveland, Ohio
To the Editor: We need to install red lights at two locations in Victoria, one at Co. Rd. 18 and Kochia Lane because of heavy traffic from our Recreation Center and Holy Family Catholic High School. The second is needed at 18 East and Bavaria Road. I cannot tell you the number of near misses I have seen trying to make a left or right turn at these locations. We may need a water tower, but this issue must be addressed as soon as possible. Young and adult lives are at risk. Malcolm Macalpine Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Happy New Year. Christmas is done. Leftovers in the freezer. Warm it up for the Super Bowl to help get rid of it. Happy Birthday to my classmate Lori. I've known Lori since 1971 at Guardian Angels School in Chaska. There were quite a few Victoria kids at GA back then because the St. Victoria School was razed -- Tom Schrempp (my cousin), Lori Mechtel (daughter of Beatrice, not the birthday girl, that's another Lori), and Jim Leuthner. Lori, Jim, and Brenda didn't stay with us at GA. They left after 3rd grade. I don't know where they went. Victoria didn't have another school until more than 25 years later with the Catholic High School. I went to public school in 2nd and 3rd grade. I needed tutoring in math and it wasn't available at GA for 4th to 8th grades. Lori, Jim, and Brenda were at the Chaska High School with us and Tommy Schrempp, too. We graduated 32 years ago at CHS which is now Middle School West. Those were the good old days. I wouldn't want to be a kid again. I don't mind pushing 50. Better than being 6. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
