Thanks for Thirty Continued |
Mike Wartman began writing for the Gazette in 1989, filling paragraphs each month with memories of growing up in Victoria. Often putting tongue in cheek, and relishing advantages of hindsight with humor, Mike recalls people, places, and things that might otherwise fall through the cracks. He preferred The Ball Park over The School Room, yet became a professor at Normandale College. |
Tom Stumpf is called the cowboy correspondent because he had a horse when I first met him and he wears cowboy boots. When Tom became part of the Wednesday evening St. Victoria Literary Society, he took the next step in 1993 of writing a column for the Gazette. In his writings Tom travels where the spirit moves him and touches everything under the sun with a cowboy’s style and humor.
