To the Editor: Our daughter was featured prominently in the Gazette in two photos from the boys basketball playoffs and I would dearly love to obtain three back copies of that issue. Would you be able to send them to me? I would be happy to give you a Visa card number or just include the invoice in the envelope should you be able to do so. Thanks for the great coverage. Tom Steward Excelsior, Minnesota
To the Editor: Can I get five copies of the May issue of the Gazette with the wonderful article from a family (Scott Dehn) about Emerald Crest? Thank you. Christine Drasher Director of Admissions & Marketing Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I was so happy about the Marsh Lake Hunting Club articles in the March and April issues of the Gazette. The old photos of the barn and house that you printed from Mae Schmid were just the best. I have lived at Marsh Lake Hunting Preserve since 1969. My parents, Bob and Karen Swanson, ran the club for 30 years and now Shawn and I do. My name is Wendy Eastman. I am hoping that through the Gazette some more people with old photos might send or email them. I have tried to get information on the land and buildings here but have had no luck. I am wondering who built the home that was pictured in the photo with the barn. It was a log cabin under all of that siding! Also, there is a rock foundation in the woods on the east end of the farm. We don’t have any idea what it was. Never before had any of us seen the photos you printed in the Gazette. I would love to be able to put together a scrapbook about Marsh Lake and the history behind it. I would be so grateful if you could print this letter in the Gazette and see what might come up. Is there anybody out there willing to help me get some more background information and photos so that I could actually start the scrapbook? My number is 952-443-2086. My email is eastmanw@district112.org. Wendy Eastman Marsh Lake Hunting Preserve Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: You do a nice job. Your publication is so attractive and, although I don’t have time to read the articles while it’s here in Prepress at Crow River, I love reading it once it’s printed! Kathy Crow River Press Hutchinson, Minnesota
To the Editor: I saw your website on the internet and viewed a page in Sue’s Album entitled “St. Victoria Staff on Stage 2007.” I was wondering, do you know a Mary Catino? I’ve been trying to get in contact with her again and I haven’t been able to find her number. If you know her, can you ask if she remembers working at a middle school in Florida? If so, can you please ask her if she remembers a young man named Cobra? Of course, the second needn’t be asked if she said no to the first one. Thank you for your time in reading this email. I apologize if it’s just a waste of your time. Cobra via email
To the Editor: Today Harriet and I attended a funeral of a fellow retired Prudential guy. We had worked together for over 30 years. I was surprised to see Sister Eleanor Wartman’s name in the church bulletin as a participant in the service. After the service we had a brief chat. From what I saw, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church of Minnetonka is most lucky to have a person like Sister Eleanor as part of their staff. Uncle Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
