To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I found the fishhook on page 8 in the Rodenz Accounting ad, around the eraser of the pencil. Love your paper. Takes longer to read the Gazette than other local papers. Keep up the great work. Linda Worm Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: My mother, Jean Bongard, enjoyed looking for the fishhook in the Gazette and she found it in every issue, and she never threw an issue away. We have all the past issues of the Victoria Gazette, and I’m checking to see if you would like them, or if you know of anyone who would want them, they can call 952-443-2798. Please let me know either way. Thank you again for all the kindness shown to my family after the loss of my mother. We all miss her very much. Barb Bongard via email
EDITOR’S NOTE: Thank you for thinking of me, Barb. I loved your mother. About the Gazettes, I also have every issue, and the Carver County Library/Museum is supposed to have every issue on microfiche. Maybe a reader or area library will call you. They hold the most comprehensive history of Victoria and its people.
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thanks so much for printing the “Sugar and Spice Till They Meet on Ice” article about the U10A girls hockey team. Sadly, though, you put the article together with a photo of another team. Tammi Flannery Victoria, Minnesota
EDITOR’S NOTE: Those darn little devils in my computer are always trying to create chaos for me. Sometimes they succeed. I’m very sorry. I’m rerunning the correct photo/caption in this issue of the Gazette.
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I was very pleased to see the ClickStart ad in the Victoria Gazette. When we came back from Tucson, I was not able to receive emails unless I went to the internet to get them. It was neat to have Brian Rodenz come to our home and get our system up and running quickly. He did a super job and I would recommend him to anyone who has computer problems. He certainly is a handsome young man, and I’m sure he has made many a young lady’s heart beat more quickly. Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you to my family Betty, John, Jim and their families, my brother Florian and Marietta Straus, Victoria Firemen, Ridgeview Ambulance, Ridgeview Hospital, doctors and nurses, Willy and Darlene Kelzer, Tom and Tiny Walsh, Paul and Connie Schechter, Father Bob, and all the people that brought food, sent cards, and flowers. Thank you. Marge Robling Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: My name is Mary Langworthy and I am the Executive Director at the Community Foundation for Carver County. We would appreciate your assistance in printing the attached news release announcing two recent grants to local charitable organizations operating across Carver County. Thanks in advance for your help and support for our community foundation. Mary Langworthy Chanhassen, Minnesota
