Many residents in the community are hooked on the Victoria Lions Pancake Breakfasts held twice a year, once in December and once in March, always on the first Sunday of those months. I was sort of surprised, however, to see such sparse attendance at their latest Sunday morning, March 3rd, breakfast. Where were all you folks! These breakfasts are an easy and delicious way to support the Lions and everything they do for the community. It's also an easy and delicious way to let someone else do the cooking and clean up the mess. Both kids and adults love the pancakes, but I'm personally hooked on the French toast and sausage. I'm also hooked on seeing people that I might not otherwise see at the Post Office or at City Hall or at Church. I missed see YOU.

I'm also hooked on hiding a fishhook in each and every issue of the Gazette. Last month I hid it under the handle of the syrup pitcher, next to the stack of pancakes in the Lions Breakfast ad. Many of you found it there and sent in your entry for the drawing, but I only pulled one of you out of the minnow bucket -- Bonnie Wagener of Waconia. Congratulations, Bonnie. The ten bucks will be on its way to you shortly. How are you? Always good to see you, but next time hope it's not a funeral.
