To the Editor: Great paper!. Found the fishhook on page 24 in the heart of your subscription envelope. Took two times through to find it this time. Linda Worm Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Love the Gazette, especially Mike Wartman's column on Victoria. Brings back fun memories. Cathy Webster St. Boni, Minnesota
To the Editor: I enjoy your paper very much. Enclosed find my check. A number of St. Hubert girls will be playing softball there this summer. I'll see you in the Gazette, girls. Leone Weinzierl St. Boni, Minnesota
To the Editor: We are proud to be part of a program that keeps clothes hangers out of landfills and helps reduce our industry's carbon footprint. We want our customers to know that we care about the environment and the future as much as about cleaning their garments. We are hoping that ten million fewer hangers will make their way to landfills this year as we are working with other drycleaners in a national effort to reuse or recycle hangers. Participants will be asked to track the hangers by estimated count and the scrap by weight. Learn more online about Drycleaning and Laundry Institute. Robert Colehour Best Cleaners General Manager Excelsior/Chan/E.P./St. Louis Park
To the Editor: The second annual United National Day of Prayer event will take place at the University of MN Mariucci Hockey Arena at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3rd. The free event will feature worship and prayer for our city, state, and nation. Church pastors and officials across will lead participants. The Twin Cities is one of the youngest metro areas in America at a time when our nation is witnessing the least-churched and most biblically-illiterate generation in its history. We need God to turn the tide. Jenn Porter Pulse Movement Minneapolis, Minnesota To the Editor: Thank you for the subscription reminder in the April issue of the Gazette. I had put it aside and forgot about it. Also, on that ad (page 24) I found the fishhook. Thank you for your wonderful paper. Happy Mother's Day to you and all other mothers. Years ago in school, my penmanship always had an "A." Doesn't look like that now, however. Ethel T. Schneider Shakopee, Minnesota
To the Editor: I found the fishhook on page 24 inside the heart, announcing the subscription due for your paper. It took four times through before I found it. You are so clever! Doris Strom Excelsior, Minnesota
To the Editor: When lake levels fall below 928 feet, the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District Code states that the Board of Directors may approve a resolution that allows for temporary dock length extensions (multiple dock facilities) and unlicensed (primarily residential) sites on Lake Minnetonka. The LMCD Board of Directors has been considering this matter based on water level readings provided by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District since mid March, as well as projected precipitation. Based on these findings, a resolution was adopted in April declaring Low Water on Lake Minnetonka. This resolution authorizes temporary dock extensions. Grey Nybeck, Executive Director Lake Mntka Conservation District
