To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Sorry this is late. We just returned home Friday night. Have been gone since February 10th. I'm catching up on the Gazette and my envelope fell out. Liked reading about your trip to Savannah and Charleston. We have done the same trip and it remains a favorite. Went in April one year. Saw lots of beautiful flowers. We visited family and friends in California, Arizona, and Colorado. Spent March in Arizona with family and friends, thus the reason for renting a three-bedroom, 2 bath townhouse in Fountain Hills. Enjoy catching up. Love hearing about your family. I can understand fracking but doubt the people along the roads are happy with the large rumbling trucks passing through their small towns. As usual, it depends on one's perspective. We spent a long weekend in Indiana visiting Mark and family. Nothing like the grandkids. Saw the Minnesota ones last night in Carver. We will spend most of Holy Week in church. Soon it'll be on to Williamsburg, Virginia, and Greensboro, North Carolina, by way of Charlotte, North Carolina, and home through Indianapolis. Found the fishhook on page 39 around Adam's snowboard. Keep traveling. One day we will all be sitting looking out the window. But we will have our memories. Happy Spring. To the Editor: The Early Childhood Advisory Council for Eastern Carver County Schools is hosting a free May Day Celebration Open House and party for young children and their families. It's on Thursday, May 1st, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Family Learning Center, 545 Pioneer Trail in Chaska, adjacent to the Chaska High School. The evening will be filled with May Day activities and crafts, games, and stories for the children, and a silent auction and raffle fundraiser. Attendees are invited to play in the classrooms and visit the teachers. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to enhance early childhood and preschool classrooms. This event is for families and preschoolers. Kierra goes, too! Thanks for your help. Michelle McNallan Chanhassen, Minnesota

To the Editor: It was fun reading the story of your visit to Savannah. Darrell and I went down there a few years ago -- flew into Savannah and rode the hop-on-off trolley, too. I had read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and seen the movie with Kevin Spacey. It was interesting to see the actual houses and area where events took place, the cemetery, and St. John the Baptist Cathedral. We drove out to Tybee, also. Stayed in Hilton Head so went up to Charleston for an overnight, where we also took the horse drawn carriage tour and purchased seagrass baskets that I use for bread and rolls to this day. Also have a palm brfanch rose on my piano. I had forgotten about the miles and miles of lodgepole pines. It was really fun to relive our trip through your trip. I love, love, love Savannah, but I think I might not like it so much in July. Ha! Sandy Rodenz Chanhassen, Minnesota
To the Editor: I found it! I found it! I can't believe I found it! Unless my eyes are deceiving me, the April fishhook is on page 39, clutching Adam Vick's snowboard. Have a blessed Holy Week and Easter. Carol Kelzer Sioux City, Iowa
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Enclosed is my check for the Gazette. It's such a treat to get it each month. Wonderful report on the Oil Patch in March. I also enjoyed reading about the Deep South. I've wanted to visit Savannah ever since my book club read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. The pictures from both articles made me feel that I was there. Sharon Brown Cologne, Minnesota
