To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Thanks so much for the Tony and Sally Kerber photos in the "Remember When" section of the August Gazette. The wedding dress that my mother wore is long gone, and the porch on the rambler on Kochia Lane will soon be history. I recently saw the wedding dress of my maternal grandmother that I had no idea existed. The Chaska Historical Society has an exhibit of 10 dresses and lots of pictures of couples married in Chaska from 1904 to 1972. The exhibit will be open from now until they decorate for Christmas. The Chaska History Center is open from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday. It is located on 112 West Fourth Street. Thanks again for the pictures of my dad and mom. Joyce Burau Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Congratulations on your huge wonderful Victoria Gazette. How you do this is beyond my wildest dream! Anyway, due to rising rent here, a place I love because nature is so rich around here, I will be moving to another location in Eden Prairie. Would you believe that I will be able to walk to church from there? Wonderful. Anyway, whisper a prayer for me as I remember you and your dear family. God's peace and joy. MaryNick Eiden Eden Prairie, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thanks again for the great photo of the Zingrays -- and on the front page of the Gazette! Also thanks for the extra copies. Hope to see you again next year or sooner. Dave Maetzold Minneapolis, Minnesota
To the Editor: The Victoria Business Association has made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend's festivities due to weather. The decision to cancel our community event, Volksfest, was made by the Volksfest Committee and supported by the Victoria Business Association. Obviously we are all disappointed. We made the right decision in line with safety and our concerns of liability. It's most disappointing for all our volunteers who have spent numerous hours of their time and those businesses who have sponsored Volksfest. We hope you recognize and support our decision. Randy Miller, VBA President Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. We really enjoy reading the Gazette each month, especially your "Picking the Mind of Victoria Mayor Tom O'Connor." Your questions are always insightful and current, and Tom O'Connor's answers are always very thoughtful and optimistic. Great job to both of you. The fishhook is on page 13 in the August Gazette, around the elbow of Mr. Stiftungsfest. Gratefully, Fred and Libby McGraw Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Let's give a shout-out to all the people who worked so diligently on behalf of Volksfest for the Victoria community. So sorry the weather stunk and you had to cancel. Thank you to all the hard workers committing so much energy for an important community festival. A year ago it was the Watertown Rails to Trails Festival that was cancelled due to tornadoes. Victoria sure is looking sharp these days, what with the natural amphitheater, new businesses and buildings, and a heightened usage of its natural gifts. Thank you again to all of you. Scott Jensen Pierson Lake
To the Editor: As our summer stay in Victoria nears an end, I was glad to see the Gazette arrive. Found the fishhook amongst the polka band on page 13 of the August paper. Have a wonderful fall. Paul Wild Edinburg, Texas
