NEW PASTORAL LEADERS AT MOUNT OLIVET WEST CAMPUS. Pastor Stephen Cornils, left, and Pastor Drew Bakken have been named the new pastoral leads for Mount Olivet West Campus in Victoria. The decision to deploy two pastors to West was made with consideration for accelerating growth and in preparation for the capital campaign for next spring. This staffing arrangement is open ended so that a new senior pastor will be free to implement his or her vision for the further development of the West Campus. Pastor Cornils is pleased to be returning to West where he served as lead pastor from 2007 to 2010. He will retain a strong presence at the Minneapolis Campus -- preaching, managing current congregation-wide assignments of Worship, Adult Ministry, and Stewardship. Pastor Cornils' new title is Pastor for Vision and Mission. Pastor Bakken, currently the task force chair of the new building at the West Campus, will continue to provide oversight for Youth Ministry and the Global Mission task force. Pastor Bakken will be present most Sundays at Mount Olivet West Campus and at regularly scheduled West Campus events and activities. Pastor Bakken is designated as Pastor for Congregational Life and Growth. Pastor Eric Youngdahl, previous lead pastor at the West Campus, is moving to Texas.
