To the Editor:

I'm hoping your readers will be interested to know that Conversational Swedish Language Classes will be offered at the Victoria Recreation Center in April and May, and that both beginning and beyond classes meet at the same time.  For more information, people can call 443-2092.  Tusan tack and Happy Easter.

Very clever note to your "Dear Readers."  As usual.  Love it.

To the Editor:

Thanks, Sue.  We always look forward to the Gazette down here in Alabama to see what's going on in Victoria.  Always fun to  see what our friend Cowboy Tom has to say.  You do a good job of keeping us informed.

To the Editor:

The Victoria Gazette and the best in reporting local happenings are synonymous in our book.  Enclosed is our subscription check.  Your editorial on "Have you ever been bullied?" is, in a word, righteous.  Well done!  Heartiest wishes for your continued success.

To the Editor:

I have been gone 40 years from Victoria, but still enjoy reading about the people in Victoria.  So many different names.  You do a good job of publishing and editing the paper.  Thank you. Yours truly,

To the Editor:

Hi. Sue.  This item about "Hope Rides" might make an interesting article for you.  Their barn is in your neck of the woods.  A lot of kids are helped with this horse ministry.  Hope Rides is a nonprofit Christian ministry that collaborates with my parish here, St. Joseph's at Rosemount.  Assuming responsibility for horses has a way of transforming teens and preteens who might be undisciplined, self-oriented, unruly, disrespectful.

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  I used to work at the Chanhassen Post Office Annex and remember your monthly mailings of the Victoria Gazette.  Everyone knew you as "Sue the Gazette Gal."

The Friends of the Library are sponsoring a special book sale in April.  We have many Victoria residents who attend.  The purpose of the sale is two-fold.  All money made goes back into the library for various projects such as large print books and extra seating.  The other purpose is to get books into the community at an affordable price.  Our local libraries are such a community treasure.  Thanks.

Hi, Sue.  Keep the great Gazette coming.  My, how Victoria has changed since I graduated from the 8th grade in 1952 from Victoria School District #16.

To the Editor:

The week of April 16th to 20th has been designated statewide as the statewide tornado drill day.   On Thursday, April 19th (Drill Day), the warning sirens will be sounded two times -- once at 1:45 p.m. for businesses, schools, and other facilities to run through their plans, and again at 6:55 p.m. for late shifts and families in their homes.

As members of the Metropolitan Emergency Managers Association, we encourage you to help alert citizens to practice activities that may help save lives.
