To the Editor: Great paper. Great job. Enjoyable, too. Betty Goetz Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Great paper. We read about some of our relatives and a place we used to live. We always see who wins the fishhook drawing. Best to all. Arlene Poppler Bradenton, Florida
To the Editor: Thank you for sending the Gazette to Florida. Sorry I panicked when I had not received the last issue right away. Came a couple days later. This time I was bound and determined to find the fishhook and it "appeared" in the Lions Easter Egg Hunt ad on page 7. So put me in the fish bucket. Will have to tell Morrie L. that my fish was a lot bigger than the one he caught in the Victoria Ice Fishing Contest. Back to my "Grandma Bragging Rights," after I read the Holy Family Catholic School Honor Roll in the Gazette last month, and saw Kayla Lindeman's name but could not find Michael and Jonathan Fritz's names, I realized that Holy Family only sent you names of their Victoria students. Soooo, wanted to mention their names as well. They are my grandsons and live two miles out of Victoria. Look forward to the April Gazette. Love reading all about Victoria. You do such a grand job. See you in May. Love, Bonnie Fritz Naples, Florida
To the Editor: As we pass through the midway point of the 2012 Legislative Session, I would like to thank the many residents of Senate District 34 who have visited me at the Capitol so far this year. I have enjoyed meeting and speaking with each of you. I am always grateful that the residents of Carver County take such an active interest in the policy process. As of today [March 25th], the Minnesota Senate has already heard 240 bills! Legislation passed thus far will allow Minnesotans to keep more of their hard earned tax dollars. Furthermore, burdensome state regulations are being reformed in order to allow businesses, families, and individuals to prosper. Some of the notable events currently taking place at the Capitol include: a Senate Committee hearing on a proposed constitutional amendment requiring a photo ID for voting (Senate File 0509), legislation to include Norwood Young America, Hamburg, and New Germany under the greater Minnesota business development public infrastructure grant program for grant eligibility purposes (Senate File 2223), and the 2012 Jobs Omnibus bill (Senate File 1972). The Jobs Omnibus bill contains the very necessary Marriage Penalty Refund (Senate File 2002). We are working hard to make sure that Minnesota is a more hospitable place to create and conduct business. We want to enact real reform that delivers real job creation in Minnesota. As always, my staff and I are ready and available to help you with any questions or thoughts you may have during this legislative session. I look forward to hearing from you. Senator Julianne Ortman Chanhassen, Minnesota sen.julianne.ortman@senate.mn
