GAZETTE

To the Editor:

We would like to thank all of the donors, volunteers, and the Victoria  Lions for another successful blood drive in January.   Without all of your help this would not be possible.  New donors are always welcome at our next drive.  Thank you.

To the Editor:

I would like to introduce myself to you.  I am an artist and photographer who resides in Carver County.  I have been photographing barns in Carver County for three years and I am now working on a book about Carver County which will be published by Arcardia Publishing and available through national book retailers November 2011.

Do you have any vintage photographs in your collection that you would give permission for publication or do you know of any residents that have photographs or postcards of Victoria before 1960?  I am a member of the Carver County Historical Society.  The focus of this book is to allow the citizens of the county to participate as much as possible in the book.  Thank you.

Enclosed is $30 for my subscription and my brother Father Fred’s subscription.  I have been diagnosed with lung cancer.  I see a specialist on Thursday.  I’d appreciate people’s prayers.  Please pray for me.  I’ll ask God to bless all of you, too.

You’re invited to Signing day at Holy Family on February 2nd at 9 a.m.  The ceremony will be held in school’s cafeteria.  Minnesota’s 2010 Mr. Football Peter Westerhaus will be signing his letter of intent to play for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, along with other Holy Family Athletes.  Kare 11 and KSTP 5 plan on attending.  We would love to have local coverage as well.

To the Editor:

I’m sending out a quick message to let you know that my photography portfolio is now available on Facebook under “Capturia Studio.”  For those of you not acquainted with Facebook and who wish to see some of my work, email capturiastudio@gmail.com and I’ll send you an electronic file.

As some of you know, this past year I launched a photography business called Capturia Studio and am now officially “open for business.”  I absolutely love working with families to “capture” their special moments and look forward to future opportunities.  To those of you who helped me launch this venture, a huge Thank You!  It has been a dream come true and I am extremely grateful for your support.
