Replied Mr. Uram, "I'm hesitant to say anything because we could really get dumped on."= *Council reviewed the performance of City Administrator Don Uram in January. Reported Mayor Thun, "I want to mention that the council overwhelmingly gave Don a vote of confidence. We believe he can continue to make a positive difference. We're very pleased to have Don as our city administrator." *Council retained Westwood Professional Services to provide professional services for park improvements at Rhapsody Park with a low bid of $7,200. Westwood will prepare construction documents for use by the city in soliciting quotes from contractors to construct the improvements at 2550 Vogel Farm Road in Victoria. The proposed improvements include a multi-purpose ball field on the north side of the shelter and may also include a half-court basketball court, landscaping, an fencing. The city's total project budget is $75,000. *Council authorized application for the Local Road Improvement Program through MnDOT for the reconstruction of the remainder of 78th Street from Hwy 5 to Madelyn Creek. Overall estimated cost is $1 million. Funding through the program is capped at $500,000. *Council approved a proposal from Riesselman of Excelsior to complete the facility assessment at the Recreation Center for a cost not to exceed $6,500. The assessment will review heating, air conditioning, building interior, exterior, ice system, flooring, anticipated continued maintenance.
