Third in Hopkins Tournament. The Chanhassen 6A Boys took 3rd place in the Hopkins Boys "A" Division Winter Tournament held January 14th-15th. The tournament was round robin play in the "AA" division. The boys played well, showing good improvement against some of the top teams in the state. Other teams participating included Woodbury, Wayzata, and Armstrong. Champions at Champlin. The 6th Grade Chanhassen Gold boys basketball team took 2nd place in the Apple Valley Classic on January 6th and 7th. They played Eastview, St. Louis Park, and Apple Valley in the championship game, losing in an overtime thriller. The team went on to take 1st place in the 19th annual Champlin Park Basketball Tournament January 14th an 15th. Second in Lakeville Tournament. The Girls 6th Grade Chan Blue Team took 2nd place in the Lakeville South Tourney. The girls defeated Owatonna and Farmington, then met in Waconia in the championship game. Bloomington Jefferson Champions. The Chanhassen 6C Boys Basketball team placed 1st on January 22nd at the Bloomington Jefferson Tournament. The team defeated St. Paul and East Ridge on Saturday and then Kennedy on Sunday to become 6C Boys Champions.
