Do you know that fresh oysters cost more per pound that fresh ribeye steak? If oyster stew is part of your holiday tradition, then you know it is true.

We enjoyed our thick delicious steaks with the kids on Christmas Eve (Thank you, once again, Fresh Seasons), and we later enjoyed the oyster stew alone, just the two of us, a few days later, after the kids left. (Delicious. Thank you, Fresh Seasons.) It was my intention to serve the oysters while the kids were at home but there weren’t enough meals on the calendar. I did babyback pork ribs for another dinner. (Delicious. Thank you, Fresh Seasons!). Still another night I did marinated chicken wings. (Delicious. Thank you, Fresh Seasons!). Guess you could say I’m hooked on Food and Fresh Seasons.

Did you spot the hook in the last issue of the Gazette? It was wrapped around evergreen needles in the Deer Run ad on page 11. I pulled Katherine Girtz of Chaska out of the minnow bucket just in time for her to win the $10 drawing. Congratulations, Katherine! I hid a hook in this issue, too, and I’m thinking it might be a tough one for you this time.
