Erik Geske graduated from Army Basic Training for the MN Army National Guard on May 23rd at Fort Benning, Georgia. We are very proud of him. Gregg, Shelly, and Sharen Geske and family Chanhassen and Victoria, Minnesota
Emily Olson, daughter of Ken and Lynn Olson of Victoria graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, on June 19th, 2009. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Oboe Performance and will begin graduate school at the University of Minnesota in September.
Reserve Academy Graduates. Several members of the Carver County Reserve Unit graduated from a nine-week Reserve Training Academy on May 28th. The course was sponsored by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and included 60 Reserve members from the metro area. They learned about defensive tactics, water emergencies, traffic control, crime scene prevention and security, legal aspects of being a Reservist, and other law enforcement operations and functions.
