To the Editor: The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District is moving at the end of June to a new location in Minnetonka. The District will relocate to 15320 Minnetonka Boulevard on July 1st. The space is located in the former "Relate Counseling" building about two miles east of the District's current offices in Deephaven. The District's new office includes several technology updates to increase staff efficiency and will provide much needed public meeting, laboratory, and office space. It's proximity to Interstate 494 will provide greater visibility and easier access for residents and partners across the District. There are also plans to use the District's new office as a demonstration site for cost-effective ways to filter and manage stormwater runoff, which is a main contributor to poor water quality. To the Editor: This letters come to tell you, dearest Sue, how much I have enjoyed your newspaper these past years. It came to me, at the old age of 90, that I can't remember paying you for my subscription, so I would like to send you a little gift of $40. I am from Chaska and have known so many of the people you write about and the letters they send you. The past couple of years I have lived in Assisted Living in Minnetonka, close to St. Therese Church of Deephaven (there didn't seem to be an opening in my hometown of Chaska), but now I am closer to all seven of my children who love this Jonathan, Excelsior, Tonka Bay area. It is wonderful to enjoy the lake for summer and winter fishing and just plain boating, especially for the Fourth of July fireworks. I call it Shangrelaa -- which is the wrong spelling but you get the drift. Guess I will close this letter so I can get it in the mail. I have always sent cash money in the mail and always lucked out with people receiving it. Luck of the gods!! Love and God bless you always. Jean (Mrs. Wm) Seamans Minnetonka, Minnesota
To the Editor: Good afternoon. Please join us to celebrate the opening of our brewery. You have made an important contribution in helping us get ready for our launch. We want to express our appreciation. We look forward to an evening of beer, celebration, and friends. Please see the attached invitation and stop by at your leisure. Karie Menser McDougall ENKI Brewing Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Always enjoy reading the Gazette and even found the fishhook on the Century Wine and Spirits ad on page 8. Keep up the good job. Marie Otten Waconia, Minnesota
To the Editor: Thank you for your interesting and newsy June issue of the Gazette. That picture you have of 5th and 6th grade classes at St. Victoria School in "Remember When," I think should say 1937, and not 1947. Could it be a type error? My own class would be 1946-1947 in the 5th and 6th grade. Sister Rolaine Diethelm, who died in June, was ten years older than I am and she's in your picture. God's peace and blessings for your family and readers. Sister Lois Hauwiller St. Paul, Minnesota
EDITOR'S NOTE: It seems you are correct, Sr. Lois. I received that photo (and the date, which I may have mistyped, and information) from Leona Kelzer (Mrs. Harold Kerber, who is in the photo) when it was first printed in the Gazette in 1987. I believe your 2013 letter is the first time it's being corrected. You are an astute reader. Thank you for helping keep Victoria history accurate.
To the Editor: Please find a check for $25 to cover our subscription. Keep up your great work with the news. Thanks. Bev Drew Janesville, Wisconsin
