Classic Cars. In downtown Victoria, Wednesday evenings, June 13th and June 27th. From 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Town Hall Meeting. Tuesday, June 12th at Victoria City Hall. Senator Scott Jensen hosts meeting to provide constituents in Senate District #47 an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the past legislative session. 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Flag Day. Thursday, June 14th. Observed by some cities and states since the American flag was adopted in 1777, Flag Day was officially established in 1916 by proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson. In 1949 National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress signed by President Harry S. Truman.

President Trump's Birthday. Thursday, June 14th. Donald J. Trump was born in 1946, in Queens, New York, the fourth of five children of Frederick and Mary MacLeod Trump.

City Council Meetings. Monday, June 11th, and Monday, June 25th. 6:30 p.m. at City Hall on Stieger Lake Lane in downtown Victoria.

Father's Day. Sunday, June 17th. Observed by some communities since 1908. Father's Day was formally proclaimed and designated by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966 as the third Sunday in June. Made a permanent national holiday by President Richard Nixon who signed it into law in 1972.

Summer Begins. Thursday, June 21st. The summer solstice is the longest day and shortest night of the year in the northern hemisphere. The word 'solstice' is Latin for 'sun stands still.' On June 20th (or 21st) of each year, the sun is directly overhead at noon at the Tropic of Cancer.

Full Moon. Thursday, June 28th. The moon is fully illuminated as seen from earth. At Full Moon, the moon and sun are on a line with earth in between, as though the moon and sun are sitting on either end of a seesaw.
