To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Funny you should yarn about the Klondike Gold Rush. Just finished a book by James Michener, Journey. Four Brits and an Irish lad head to Alaska. Very good story. Fiction, but a fun read nonetheless. Tom Stumpf Cowboy Correspondent
To the Editor: We just wanted to thank you for publishing news about our new business in the Gazette last month. Being in the advertising business ourselves, we know how valuable space is, and we really appreciate the full page article. Kyle Grauberger Nelson Fox, Ben Aldritt Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your story of our ancestor, Uncle Trond, and the Klondike Gold Rush expedition and how it compares to today's Black Gold rush happening in Tioga, ND, that your own family is a part of. Very interesting. Also, it's nice to hear the Auntie Bet and Uncle Joe are having a fun winter in Texas. I love their enjoyment of life. Your cuz, Judy Novotny Winona, Minnesota
To the Editor: Breanna, Tim Jr., and I would like to thank our family, friends, and our wonderful community for their love and support during this difficult time with the loss of my wife Peggy. We are grateful to all of you for the food, flowers, and cards. It means so much to our family. A special thank you to the Victoria Fire Department, Ridgeview paramedics, and the police department for their gentle touch and compassion. We are truly blessed to be part of such a great community. Thank you. Tim Kaufhold Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: I am grateful that Victoria is a community of loving people. At the recent funeral of Peggy [Schneider] Kaufhold, I did not see you but I heard you playing the piano. It sounded like heaven. I am grateful for all of your many gifts. You have also been bringing Good News to Victoria for a long time and I want to say thank you. Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love. She was well taught, as all of her family are masters of it. The question we will all be asked on that final day is, "Did you learn how to love?" Love and kindness go a long way and life is much better that way. Krista Chapman Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Tears came to my eyes when I spotted the Anton and Ida Diethelm home picture and the column by Mike Wartman in the recent February Gazette. It was home to me and my family (Anton and Ida were my parents) for many years, and the memories are filled with much happiness. Just like Mike, I also tell people I'm from Victoria even though it has been many years that I've been away. I really enjoy the Gazette and especially Mike's columns. Thank you for the Gazette! We had Victoria visitors this winter -- Jerry and Gerda Schmieg. Fun! Jeanne (Diethelm) Corcoran Belleville, Illinois
To the Editor: Please make sure I continue to get the Gazette. Thank you. Love the paper. Viola Jeurrisen Victoria, Minnesota
