Victoria Gazette-Hook Line & Sinker

I should be taking pictures of fish when I'm at a fishing contest, but that seldom happens for me here in Victoria. The main reason is that Stieger Lake became a catch and release lake some years ago. After a fish is caught and weighed, it must be released back into the lake as soon as possible. When Victoria's annual Fishing Contest was first started by the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, of which I was a member for 25 years, I'd take pictures of all the fish caught and weighed because they were nailed to a display board for all to see. Today, I would have to sit at the weigh station for the entire two hours and take pictures of each fish caught in order to land a picture of the biggest fish. Sorry. I prefer to take pictures of people.

And when I go fishing into my minnow bucket each month, that's exactly what I come up with -- a person. This time I came up with Darline Peterson of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Excelsior, Minnesota.
