To the Editor: Time just goes too fast! Anyway, I must say I enjoy Ron Holtmeier’s letters in the Gazette. He doesn’t know me, but his mom (Fern Holtmeier) and my mom (Vernice Heutmaker) lived in the same apartment building in Victoria in their last few years and were friends. Also, my son Greg and his wife Jan are very close friends with Ron’s brother Wayne. Wayne and I are bridge partners at least once every summer when I visit them at their summer home near Brainerd. Wayne lives just a few miles from them. Hi, Wayne! Hi, Ron! Diana R. Gramith Naples, Florida
To the Editor: Thanks for a most interesting paper. Happy Blessed Easter. Marcy Jaspers Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: It is a joy to receive the Victoria Gazette. I remember the old time buildings and the good old days full of memories. Have a Happy Easter. Jeanette Robling Jordan, Minnesota

To the Editor: Today, April 3rd, 2009, the ice left Upper Lake Auburn. Last year it was April 20th, 2008, the latest day since I started keeping records. The earliest date was March 8th, 2000. Uncle Ron Holtmeier Victoria, Minnesota To the Editor: Enclosed is our remittance for another year of your down home publication. We look forward to each month’s issue. It’s fun to keep up with the growth and happenings of Victoria. Of course we enjoy the variety of articles and the pictures of family and the grandchildren. We are excited to announce the March 23rd arrival of our grandson, Owen Patrick Read. His parents are Kelly (our oldest) and Jeff Read who live in St. Louis Park. All is well and we seem to be making many trips in that direction these days. We look forward to seeing you and Al soon. Pat and Pauline Ahern Chaska, Minnesota
