To the Editor:

The family of Julianne (Diethelm) Wartman would like to thank everyone for their support, condolences, and memories on her passing into eternal life as she died on March 22nd, 2018.  Thanks to all, but special attention to her health caregivers, the St. Victoria Catholic Community, many friends in Victoria and beyond, and zillions of relatives.  Your kind words meant a lot to us as family as we remembered this musical and fun loving mother, family member, and friend.  Thank you, all.

         Mike Wartman, Prior Lake, Minnesota

To the Editor:

The rummage sale ad for St. Victoria looked great.  Start packing for that trip to Ireland, lots of layers and a jacket with a hood.  Loane and I went last September and we had good weather with only one partial day of rain.  We saw many of the same places that you will see.  Scarves are also a good idea.  (I sound like someone's mother.)  Have a nice Easter and happy trip.  The fishhook was on page 36 under the picture of the Carver County Commissioners.

To the Editor:

Hello, Sue.  I really enjoying reading the Victoria Gazette.  I might love it more than dark fudge brownies and that's saying something.  In fact, I would love to have a piece published.  Do you accept contributions?  I'm a Victoria resident.  I've attached a lighthearted piece about the neighborhood Chevalle located between Victoria and Chaska.  Would you mind having a look?  Thanks for your consideration.

To the Editor:

Sue, the lady at the Post Offices said that you knew everything about Victoria and the surrounding area.  My wife and I purchased a townhome near the intersection of Bavaria Road and Hwy 5.  We close on May 15th and are very excited to move  into the Victoria area.  We have already been downtown a couple times or so.

I have a 23-foot boat and a pull trailer that I'm looking year-round storage for.  I'm looking for a little coaching as to the best way to track down a farmer or someone who might be willing to let me rent some space.  I would appreciate your advice.

To the Editor:

Good afternoon, Sue.  I just finished reading the April issue of the Gazette and I found the fishhook on page 36 around the end of the heart design below the picture of Randy Maluchnik and Tom Workman.  Enjoyed your pictures of the Lions Fish Fry, especially the pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

         Judy Koch, Waconia, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Sue, I just received my $10 prize from last month's fishhook contest.  Thank you.  The fun is much more than the $10.  I enjoy the mental challenge.  It gets me reading every page (and looking at every advertisement).  And now I get to feel like a winner all month.

This month the fishhook is way more difficult to find (it's on page 38).  But do not put my name in the minnow bucket.  You need to spread the joy around.  Everyone should get a chance to "feel like a winner" once in a while.  I always look forward to each month's Gazette.

         Glenn Gauvin, Mound, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Good morning.  We spoke with representatives from the Holy Family Catholic School this morning of April 16th and they have elected to cancel the mock car crash planned for Thursday, April 19th, due to the weather.  They are not planning on scheduling an alternate date at this time.  Thank you for your willingness to participate in the event.

Andrew Heger, Victoria Fire Chief, Victoria, Minnesota

To the Editor:

Hi, Sue.  You will notice that I have added our hours to my library column, as well as some logos, although I'm not sure how much space you have for us.  Thank you for considering these additions.  Thank you as always for the opportunity to include library information in the Gazette.
