When May arrives, there is no turning back!  Spring is here.  Community fish fries have come and gone and now there are shoreline dinners for those who go up north into the boundary waters or Canada or simply sit in a fishing boat in local waters.  Do I dare tell you that I love the fish sandwiches at McDonald's?  It's true.  I do.

When I reached into the minnow bucket this month, I pulled out Katherine Girtz of Chaska.  She found the fishhook wrapped around the heart design on page 36 under the picture of the two Carver County Commissioners who represent Victoria.  I don't know if Randy Maluchnik and Tom Workman are fishermen and it doesn't really matter.  What matters is that Katherine Girtz wins the $10 prize drawing.

There's another fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette.  If you find it and wish to be part of the next monthly drawing, email Sue@VictoriaGazette.com telling of its location or use Box 387 and sinker in the mail before the June Gazette is out.
