Is the fishing opener still on the same weekend as Mother's Day? In my world, the fishing opener ranks lower than my garage door opener. Only Mother's Day has counted for me, and this will be the first time in my lifetime without my mother who, by the way, loved to go fishing. I've always preferred finding my fish in the grocery store.

So when I dipped into April's minnow bucket, I pulled out Lindsay Spartz of Victoria. Congratulations, young lady! You get the ten bucks, which will soon be on its way to you. Indeed, the fishhook was hiding in the "h" of the word "fish" in the Lions fish fry ad on page 14. There's another fishhook hiding in this issue of the Gazette.
