All Saints Day. Thursday, November 1st. A solemn holy day celebrated annually, dedicated to the saints of the Church.

All Souls Day. Friday, November 2nd. A holy day set aside for honoring those who have died.

Daylight Savings Time Ends. Sunday, November 4th. Daylight savings time ends. Check your clocks. It's earlier than you think.

Election Tuesday. Tuesday, November 6th. Three precincts in Victoria. Find yours: City Hall, Victoria Elementary School, Victoria Recreation Center.

Lions Pork Chop Dinner. Friday, November 9th. 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lions Park Pavilion. Bring your friends and family.

Veterans Day. Sunday, November 11th. A legal holiday formerly known as Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I in 1918.

City Council Meetings. Tuesday, November 13th, and Monday, November 26th. 6:30 p.m. at City Hall on Stieger Lake Lane.

Thanksgiving Day. Thursday, November 22nd. A day to remember the original pilgrims who celebrated the autumn harvest with a feast of thanksgiving, held as a gesture of thanks to Almighty God. Thanksgiving Day was first celebrated in the year 1621. After the United States gained independence, Congress recommended one yearly day of thanksgiving for the whole nation to celebrate. The fourth Thursday of November, was proclaimed a national holiday by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 in the midst of the Civil War.

Full Moon. Friday, November 23rd. The moon is fully illuminated as seen from earth. At Full Moon, the moon and sun are on a line with earth in between, as though the moon and sun are sitting on either end of a seesaw.
