Would you call them tree frogs if they're sitting on a tree log? Would you see the fishhook if you were counting tree rings? The log is part of the monthly Victoria Library Log, and the fishhook is part of the monthly Hook Line & Sinker Contest. They worked well together in the September issue of the Gazette, wouldn't you agree? When I dipped into the minnow bucket of monthly entries -- of those who spied the hook hiding in the log on page 16 -- I pulled out LaVerne Happ of Waconia to win the $10 prize drawing. Would you say that makes Mrs. Happ Happy? If your names was Mrs. Slap, you could be Mrs. Slap Happy. (Are we having fun?) There's another fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette. If you find it and want to be part of the next drawing, email Sue@VictoriaGazette.com telling of its location or use P.O. Box 387 and sinker in the mail. And as they say in Jamaica, "Smile, be happy." |
