By the time you read this column, the Victoria Lions will have picked up fish for their Friday, April 5th, Fish Fry and made many of their other preparations. Of course, the fish isn't fried until that very night when we're waiting in line at the Lions Park Pavilion. If you remember the last couple of Victoria Lions fish fries, you know this is among the best eating fish in Carver County, if not the entire state or even all of the Upper Midwest! When I dipped my hand into the minnow bucket this month, I pulled out Rita Nash of New Prague. Congratulations, Rita. Your ten dollar prize will be on its way to you soon. There's another fishhook hidden in this issue of the Gazette. There won't be a tasty fish on the end of that fishhook but that's beside the point. |
