To the Editor: Thank you for your continued press coverage of the happenings and events of Holy Family Catholic High School. The majority of our almost 500 students live within a 15-mile radius of our campus in Victoria. Laura Podergois, HFCHS Associate Director of Admissions Victoria, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. Love your paper and finding the fishhook. Merry Christmas. Tamara Kroening's grandmother makes these cards and many more. Cute, aren't they? I think I found the fishhook on the KleinBank ad. Isabel Kroening Chaska, Minnesota
To the Editor: Hello, Sue. I was sorry to read laste month about Thom Derr not being well. Could you get the enclosed card to him? I enjoyed the Christmas issue of the Gazette. The fishhook is on page 30 in the Bank ad. Barbara Johnson Sacred Heart, Minnesota
To the Editor: Very nice Christmas paper, Mom. I saw my letter to the editor. There are at least a few recipes I can use that are gluten and dairy free, or adaptable. I enjoyed reading the choir members' comments. Julianne's made me laugh out loud. I'm sure she thought you'd list a couple favorite Christmas songs for her instead of print "pick a couple for me." Talk to you later. Jenny Tioga, North Dakota
To the Editor: Hi, Sue. I understand you bumped into my brother Bob at the Post Office. He is 4 1/2 years older than me (age 70) and a bachelor all his life but always a chick magnet. He lives on the corner of Abbywood Road and Tellers Road SW. Happy Holidays to you and Al and your family. Kurt Zuppke Laketown Township
To the Editor: Before the ice fishing trip, head down to KleinBank for some moola. You'll need the moola for all the fishing supplies -- license, bait, warm clothes, things for the fish house. Found the fishhook on the KleinBank ad on page 30 in the December Gazette. Just don't get your foot in the fishing hole like I did when I was 12 at the Chaska Clayhole. My glasses fogged up no matter how much I'd clean them off. Then, kerplunk, my right boot got a boot full of clayhole water and my sock smelling like lake water. I looked around. The holes were too close together. Others said so, too. The burger cooks gave me an empty bag from the burger buns to use for a liner in my boot. I got razzed plenty at school about it. It was 1977. That's 37 years ago! At least the fish odor didn't last. Ma got the sox in the wash and the boot liners were removable so they got washed too. That was my only pair of boots and Ma didn't want me to smell like a tuna boat. Once when Dad was still manager at the Chaska Legion he came home muttering something about a herring jar. He had worn a new sweater he got for Christmas and he changed clothes and went back up town. I could smell herring and cigar smoke so I grabbed that sweater, washed it in cold water, and put it on the air dry setting in the dryer. No more stench. Happy New Year, everyone. Kay Meuwissen Chaska, Minnesota
