MAYOR SEEKS A DECLARATORY JUDGMENT JIM CROWLEY: “MAKING A MOCKERY OF THIS BODY” Mayor Funk and Councilmember Gregory sought to seek a Declaratory Judgment from the Carver County Courts on the payment or reimbursement to the city of councilmember-defendant legal fees in the Funk et. al. lawsuits and appeals.

ANOTHER POLICY FOR THE CITY OF VICTORIA PLACING ITEMS ON THE COUNCIL AGENDA Council approved a policy that governs how items can be placed on the agenda for city council meetings.
FLAGGED PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALK PROGRAM FOR INTERSECTION AT ST. VICTORIA/LIONS PARK Council approved a pilot program for the crosswalk at St. Victoria and Lions Park. Small flags are placed on either side, allowing pedestrians to take a flag to the other side, giving them more visibility.
BETHESDA PROPOSES NEW VICTORIA PROJECT AND REQUESTS TAX INCREMENT FINANCING Owners of the former Community Living campus are proposing 51 new residential units on the 4.32 acres, marketing to those age 55 and up.
TWO SEASONS IN VICTORIA, MINNESOTA WINTER AND STREET RECONSTRUCTION The streets to be done in 2018 are the last of the street capital improvements embarked on in 2003, so it’s a milestone.
A PIECE OF VICTORIA’S PARKING PUZZLE COMING WITH STIEGER LAKE LANE RECONSTRUCTION Council accepted the feasibility report for Stieger Lake Lane reconstruction from City Hall east to Hwy 5 plus theaccompanying construction of 68 parking spaces along the south side of that street.
VICTORIA PREPARES FOR NEW WELL #2.5 TO BE LOCATED IN KATY HILLS PARK Staff identified a need to replace Well #2 near the treatment plant on 80th Street and identified a location across the street in Katy Hills Park.
